Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Color Run and Blacktop Race?

For either event, there are TWO separate start times; 9:30a or 12p.

The Color Run is  a fun time to run, wheel, walk or dance around the track as many times as you'd like while colored powder is "squirted" on your shirt.  Powder will get ALL OVER but we'll aim for your shirt.  We'll "go" until the powder is gone.

Some participants may like to be involved but will not like to have powder thrown on them can participate in the Blacktop Race instead.  This will start at the same time as the Color Run but will be on the playground blacktop rather than down on the gravel track.

What's the deal with the color powder?

The powder is a corn starch and food coloring mix, meant to stick to your clothing for a short time.  You can soak it in vinegar then let it dry in order to set the color, otherwise the powder will just fall off.   We will have used and sanitized goggles available to borrow.  Bring your own if you'd like.

What is the optional Water Battle?

There will be two Water Battles, one about 10am and one about 12:30pm for registrants of the corresponding Heat.

This is a time to remove your Color Run shirt (that should be all powdered up with color) and team up against another team for an old fashioned WATER BATTLE and GET SOAKED!

[Not water balloons and not water guns.  Water squirters will be used for super soaking action!]

What else is there to do at this event?

  • Registered guests will get; Color Run or Blacktop Race, Bubble Tunnel, Bubble/Foam Pit, Photo Booth, T-shirt, Water Battle
  • Additional activities; Calm Obstacle Course with Quiet Activities, Sponsor & Community Resource Tables
  • Additional purchase items; add-on packages, special color run fun items like wigs, tutus, hair chalk, suckers, etc.
  • AMAZING Auction Baskets and Raffle prizes and food for sale
  • FREE SWAG BAG for first 150 registrants in each Heat!

Which race is better for my wheelchair?

That's your decision, you are welcome to do either one.  If you are concerned about the powder and rocks in your wheels then you may prefer the Blacktop Race.  Both are wheelchair accessible.  If you don't want to miss out on the fun color on your shirt, we can color you up!  Just let us know.

What are the Registration Ad-Ons (like Superhero Package)?

Each add-on is an exciting assortment of themed wearable items to amp up your experience.  Most items are one size fits all so a student or adult could wear them.
